And of course, a link to the source, the short story.
[Video description: 85 seconds. Scanned watercolor painting. At center, seen from the back, a little boy stands with a wide stance, with his younger sibling standing to his left at waist height and holding onto his side. The older boy shines a flashlight onto the wall against which sits a bed. Something is growing in the wall. The flashlight reveals what appears to be a chest from which branching tendrils are growing, and where a head might be, there is a rupture in the wall. Beside this thing in the wall, is a poster of a superhero and a poster of a car. A dinosaur stuffed toy lies on the pillow on the right side. Under the bed are various items, an untied shoe, a comic book, a baseball, a baseball bat, a file box full of more comics. Behind the older boy’s right foot is an open comic book, and another file box full of more comic books. Watermark of the word “storyfeather” lays over the image. Title card over the image displays “Podcast Episode” and “Genre: Horror” The words fade away, replaced by the story’s title at center and the characters “200th Episode” above it, as they are spoken in the narration. The title and announcement fade. Subtitles appear in time with music and narration at the bottom: “Something dark and dangerous is growing inside the wall next to one little boy’s bed. Find out what it is, and face it, if you dare, in this episode. It’s called “Chemoimagination.” Welcome to the two hundredth episode of Storyfeather. Yay—all right, that’s enough. Let’s get to the story. ‘Marisela!’ Rigo cried out and Marisela came running into the boys’ bedroom. He was standing before the left side of his bed, shining a flashlight on both the bed and the wall behind it. Alex stood beside him, speechless, clutching the cuff of Rigo’s sleep shorts. With the lights off, the only thing easily visible was the part of the thing that his flashlight illuminated. A large mass that looked like a skeletal chest bulged out from the wall, its ribs protruding, thumping as if there were a heart underneath.” Text box appears over image displaying the words, “Listen on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, iHeartRadio, Spotify, Stitcher, and so on. Or listen on my Podcast page at storyfeather.com.” Website URL appears at bottom center throughout and fades as the text box appears.]
