Spark had been wandering all her life. But her wandering had no purpose, until she began searching for a home.
This story is from Year 8, The Year of Revisitation
I revisit one of the stories I’ve already written, and write a new standalone story connected to or inspired by the existing one through a character, a place, an object, a continuation of events (okay, sequel), and so on.
Music: “Casual Theme #6 (Triumph)” by Andy Ray
The inspiration for this story? I once wrote about a bird that grew so small that no one could see him. Everyone called him “Flea.” But he knew that he had another name, a name he’d forgotten. If he could find out what his true name was, Flea believed he could grow bigger, big enough to be seen. So he goes on a quest to search for his name.
[Video Description: Trailer. Duration, 43 seconds. Music: “Casual Theme #6 (Triumph)” by Andy Ray. Digital drawing. Digital drawing. At bottom is the title. The title card and title fade. Lines from the story appear at bottom: “Spark zoomed into a heap of advancing clouds, grinning and gasping at the sensations of cold and wet, reaching out to touch what could not quite be grasped. She emerged on the other side, and spotted a colossal formation of rock and stone with three spires so high they topped the clouds. A mountain! Maybe there, she thought.” The title reappears at bottom. A watermark of the site URL appears at bottom center throughout.]
